During the war, my family was forced to leave our house and escape to Croatia as refugees. Later on, we heard that our house was burned to the ground. We were lost and our dreams abandoned with the brutal pictures of war. But a human life is the most important thing. My father’s brother was missing in the war. It was terrible, but life goes on. We lived in a refugee hotel for the next seven years. My parents without employment, life in a small hotel room ... every day tears were the reflection of the war.

I’ve decided to continue my study, but it was very difficult because my parents could not support me financially. So thanks to the CSF and my sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Slavko Miskic, I was able to continue my study. It was the greatest news! We’ve realized that there are unknown people who care about us. These people have generously given us their time and money. My family returned to our home in Bosnia last month. An International organization helped us rebuild our home.
